The Tutor/Mentor Conferences are always a great place for networking with others.  On the confernece web site we've created an Attendee List that enables you to see who is planning to attend, and send them a message so you can make arrangements to meet them, before or after the conference.

I've met lots of people who have become long-term friends and collaborators through these conferences.  So, what about you?  Can you tell us who you met at the conference, or what was the last conference that you attended where you met someone important to you?

My name is Ana Llorens, I work at Cabrini Connections.

I just have to say what a small world. This morning I got a call from Joseph Moran, who is the Program Coordinator at Youth and Family Service Rich Township, well, guess what we are related through marriage. Wow - we made a connection through this conference, I can't wait to see him at the conference. The most amazing thing is my husband's family is from a very small town in Natchitoches, Louisana, and Joseph has been working in Illinois - we never would have known this if it had not been for the Tutor/Mentor Conference. Beside all the great information a person can obtain and the networking opportunities the conference has to offer, I can now add an additional reason why you should attend the Tutor/Mentor Conference, you never know who you might meet that's related to you. Thanks Dan.

It's Saturday and I'm reflecting on all the conversations I had on Thursday and Friday.  Lots of follow ups to do, such as with Lisa Bly, from the United Way of South-South Suburban Chicago, or Dr. James Galloway of the Pathways Into Health Careers.  Or with Bruce Herron and Marques Sullivan, retired National Football League Players living in the Chicago region. These were just a few.

Who did you meet?
