"A Mentors Guide to Career Development," 4:00 - 6:00 pm on
June 17, 2009, UW-Parkside Tallent Hall 281.
Finding a job and picking a career is always challenging for young
people, and in these difficult economic times the endeavor can be
especially overwhelming for both youth and adults. How can mentors
help mentees of any age realize their job and career
aspirations? This panel presentation and discussion can help sort out the
answers. Mentor Kenosha & Racine is partnering. with
the Racine County Workforce Development Center, the Kenosha County Job
Center and The Racine Jail Chaplaincy Mentoring Program to offer a roadmap
for mentors in this realm. More specifically, this workshop
will address the ways mentors can effectively integrate career
exploration and job hunting support into the mentoring
relationship. During the workshop, the panelists will provide
information about the Workforce Development Centers' services and
resources.
This workshop is free and open to all thanks to the sponsorship from the Racine
County Workforce Development Center and the United Way of Kenosha County. To
register, please can contact Felicia Stallworth by email at ccpinfo@uwp.edu or by phone at 262.595.2312.
